Review | Dirty Works Pore-fect Facial Hot Cloth Cleanser

Information

Brand | Dirty Works
Product | Pore-fect Facial Hot Cloth Cleanser
Size | 100ml
Price | £7 available at Sainsbury's
Extras | Comes with 2 muslin cloths
Would I buy it again | No

The product comes in a tube inside a box with 2 muslin cloths which is an added bonus. It claims to:

'Lift away dirt and excess oil for cleaner, softer and brighter skin. Even works on waterproof mascara!'

It contains Shea Butter and Eucalyptus oil to help keep skin soft and feel revitalised. To use simply massage over the skin in circular motions then using your supplied muslin cloth buff and polish of the cream off with hand hot water. Splash face with cool water then pat dry.

Ingredients

  • Aqua (Water),
  • Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride,
  • Glyceryl Stearate,
  • Dicaprylyl Carbonate,
  • Glycerin,
  • Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter,
  • Cetearyl Alcohol,
  • Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter,
  • PEG-100 Stearate,
  • Cera Alba (Beeswax),
  • Phenoxyethanol,
  • Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate,
  • Acrylates/Vinyl Isodecanoate Crosspolymer,
  • Xanthan Gum,
  • Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil,
  • Ethylhexylglycerin,
  • Cinnamomum Camphora (Camphor) Bark Oil,
  • Mentha Arvensis Leaf Oil,
  • 2-Bromo-2-Nitropropane-1,3-Diol,
  • Tocopheryl Acetate,
  • Limonene

The product its self does smell very nice and is a relatively thick cream that is a pleasure to massage onto the skin. I do enjoy using the muslin cloth to buff off the cream, its much gentler that using a flannel. As for cleansing its a bit of a hit and miss. If I have already removed my makeup and use this to cleanse I feel it works better and my skin feels clean and soft. As for make up removing abilities I don't think it does as well as it says it should.

The last photo shows that the face makeup has been fully removed but eye and lip makeup remain.

In practice the product does do a bit better than this but I don't feel I get a good cleanse from using this product and do use another soap to fully remove everything and get a good clean. All in all I would re-purchase this.

Can you think of any good hot cloth cleansers to give ago?
Whats your experience with them?

Have a great day!

Review | TRESemme Keratin Smooth

Information

Brand | TRESemme Expert Selection
Product | 7 Day Smooth System Heat Activated Treatment
Size | 120ml
Price | £6.99
What it claims | TRESemmé 7-Day Keratin Smooth Heat Activated Treatment is a first-to-market breakthrough in new generation hair technology. Using Heat Activated Polymers, this brand new formula is activated simply by using hair straighteners to provide long lasting, salon looking hair that stays beautifully smooth for seven days, and up to three washes.

To use this product you first start with towel dried hair. It says to use 8-10 pumps of product on medium length hair, in my opinion that is far too much! My hair is about boob length and I use a maximum of 3 pumps. You get a lot of product out in just one pump. So I'd say for short hair 1 pump, mid length 2 and long 3 to 3 1/2 pumps.

I actually really like the scent its smells like a sweet. It works into the hair really easy and doesn't feel greasy. It says to blow dry hair and then straighten, although the blow dry isn't mandatory. Once hairs dry, for best results straighten in sections. This product does make my hair feel really smooth and sleek. I tend to wash my hair about twice a week so the smoothy-sleekness last till I wash my hair again. I don't think it last through a wash. If I don't re-apply my hair isn't as smooth as it is if I do apply it.

It does say to use with straighteners, so I'd assume its meant just for straight hair. So I did do a few tests with curling my hair to see whether my hair had some nice smoothness in its curls, and no it doesn't work as well with curling your hair as it does with straightening it.

Just one pump of product.

The product itself is very runny and quite a thin consistency. So like I said before it just spreads through your hair with ease. The scent does linger for a few hours after the hair is straightened but not all day.
All in all I do like this product and I think if your a fan of sleek, straight locks its worth a purchase!

Have a great day y'all!

P.S Love...

I'm a lover of all things bargainy so last week when I picked up a lipstick from Primark to give a try, I kinda fell in love! So today I went back and picked up a few more bits. I picked up a two palettes 'day' and 'night' for £2.50, a lip gloss, two lip crayons, a lip gloss crayon and two lips stain pens for £1.50 each.
I wanted to do a quick swatch post because I kinda get excited when a buy new products and these are so cheap I wanted to share them!

I really love that you get a mix of shimmer and matte in both palettes. The colours in the 'Night' palette are more opaque where as the 'Day' palette is a tad more on the sheer side.

From Left to Right:

+ Lip Gloss
+ Red Lip Stain
+ Pink Lip Stain
+ Red Lip Crayon
+ Bright Pink Lip Crayon
+ Pale Pink Lip Crayon

I'm really looking forward to giving these ago as I was so pleased with my PS Love lipstick. The gloss is really lovely and opaque and the stains look like they will leave good colour. After washing my hands a few times they have stayed put! The crayons are a little more sheer and need a few swipes to build up a good colour.
They all seem to have a very faint aroma of vanilla which is quite pleasant. And the ones that I have tried on all feel nice and moisturising on the lips which is awesome! Some of the cheap ones I've tried are so drying, I have this gorgeous orchid shade lipstick from Asda, one of their cheap £1 budget lippies and it just sucks the moisture out of your lips. So the fact the these don't is a huge bonus!

I hope you've enjoyed this post!
I'm always picking up new products and I more often than not share them on my instagram now that I have it! So if you wanna see what I'm buying go check out my instagram and keep up to date with me!

Have a great day!

Review | Lush No Drought Dry Shampoo

Hi Guys!
Today I'm sharing with you my strongly mixed feelings on this Lush product.

Information

Brand | Lush
Product | No Drought Dry Shampoo
Size | 115g
Price | £6.75
Would I re-purchase | Un-decided

So what our are ingredients, Cornflour, Magnesium Carbonate, Talc, Perfume, Grapefruit Oil, Lime Oil, Citral, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool.

So I bought this when I was going through my brief obsession with Lush. I wanted to try it out and see how it compared to the Batiste dry shampoo which is in aerosol form. To use you can either puff it straight on to the roots/grease affected areas or pop some on your hands and work through. I prefer this technique better as I have more control where I'm putting it. Although I do sometimes use the puff-straight-to-scalp technique too.

The powder is super light-weight and smells divine. Its so fresh and citrusy, and you can defiantly smell the grapefruit oil. Although I find that the scent does not translate into the hair, if that makes sense. So once applied I can't smell the scent that I like so much.

When I first started using this, I could not get on with it, I felt annoyed and frustrated by it. After bouncing back and forth between this and my aerosol dry shampoo, I eventually started to like it more.
In my opinion it works best on second day hair. I put some in my hands, rub it through where I need it, leave it be for a few minutes then brush out. It does leave a white/grey cast but once worked through it blends in well and you can't tell its there.
For the price you get a LOT of product. I've had this for months and I haven't even used a quarter of the tub yet.
On third or fourth day hair I don't think it works as well as I would like. I find that I have to use loads for it to look even a little bit better. One of the BIGGEST down sides to this, is how crazy messy it is to use! I have to use it in my bathroom over the sink or bathtub because this stuff gets freaking everywhere! It was all in my shoes all over my side table...all over my face.
All in all I think its an ok product. I don't love it. I go through phases of liking it and hating it. I think I even said it was total rubbish at one point!

This is the results when used on 3rd day hair. My hair is pretty oily and after use it does look better, but I can really feel the product in my hair which I don't love! It feels sticky and thick and still oily. I've taken to shampooing my fringe everyday over the sink and just dry shampooing the top/sides/back.

I've just recently switched back to an aerosol dry shampoo for a little while, this one is a Vo5 one. So we shall see how that turns out!

I hope you've found this helpful. Let me know if you've tried this out before and what your opinions are and whether it works better for you!

Have a great day!
