Review | Brow This Way Styling Gel

I never used to care about my eyebrows, and thus left them alone, naked for years. A few years ago I discovered that most women actually filled in there brows and how much it could change and finish your look. And since then I have been on a quest to find eyebrow products that work well for me. I never know what shade to use and sometimes its helpful to have a variety anyway. So a few months back there was a 3 for 2 offer on at Superdrug and I decided to pick all 3 of these up!

The gel like most eyebrow gels comes in a little tube with a spoolie applicator. They are very easy to use and are very light weight. You can wear them alone or over another brow product as a form of setting gel. When I'm in a rush I have used them on their own and they do offer just enough colour for you not to look naked face.

My most used shades are the Blonde and Mid Brown. I find that the Dark Brown is too dark for me but can really aid in adding drama to a dramatic look. Also I have found with the 2 darker shades a light hand is needed in application, otherwise you end up with too much excess product on your eyebrows. These are simply to coat the hairs but using too much of a heavy hand gets it all over the skin.

I have very sparse dark blonde brows that are very hard to match

You can see what I was talking about with the tail of my eyebrow the product getting on to the skin if your not light enough

The product boasts being smudge proof, fade proof, and keeping your brows fixed all day which surprisingly I would have to agree on all three things!
Over all I think these are very good gels and the pigmentation I'm really happy with. Out of the 3 colours I would go back and pick up the Blonde shade, but I'm so glad I've tried all 3! I find this shade works best for me as it just adds a nice finish to my brows.
If you have any brow product suggestions I would love to know!

The mascara comes in this shiny copper/bronze packaging that's got a slight angled look/feel to it, I don't know how else to describe it! It has a really thick, full, silicone brush that has lots of thin spokes that pick up each lash and easily distributes the product over the lashes.

"The Secret Weapon to full volume without clumps. The new formula with Argan Oil feels incredibly lightweight, soft and flexible for wonder’full volume that won’t weigh you down."

The key ingredient that makes Rimmel's Wonder'full mascara so wonderful is the Argan oil. Its the only mascara I have ever used that has felt truly lightweight on my lashes. They are full, light and fluttery.  I haven't experienced any clumping and my lashes just look so beautiful and natural.

These pictures really do not do the mascara justice, but I think you get the general idea. Its really build-able if you want a heavier darker lash but you won't get the clumps and the lash separation is amazing.

When it comes to taking it off at the end of the day its a dream, other mascara's really stick to your lashes but not this one! If comes off so easily and there is not scrubbing needed!

It has very quickly become a favourite and a definite re-purchase is on the cards!

Hope you've enjoyed the review! Have a great day!

First Impressions | Sample Rimmel BB Cream Matte

I'm getting bit of a Sample collection so I thought it high time I actually start using them! So I'm going to do a little series of first impressions.

I got my little sample in my Company magazine last month.

Information

Brand | Rimmel London
Product | BB Cream Matte 9-in-1
Shade | Light
Price | £6.99
Will I Purchase | No

First off its very thick and creamy and glides on really nicely. It gives good coverage but the colour on me is a bit more orangey than I'm used to. The downside to this product is that it only comes in 2 shades light and medium.

It claims that it is a 9-in-1 product:
1| Minimises the appearance of pores
 2| Evens skin tone
 3| Mattifies
 4| Controls shine all day
 5| Smoothes
 6| Soothes
 7| Conceals dark circles
 8| Helps prevent blemishes
 9| Gives all day coverage

For me this only does about 2 of these things. It does minimise the appearance of my pores and has concealed my dark circles a little bit. My skin tone looks a little bit better. I can't say whether it helps to prevent blemishes or soothes. It doesn't mattify my skin at all or controls shine. Because of the lack of mattifing the coverage doesn't last all day.

In this picture it does look really nice and matte. I have some left in the sample sachet so I'll continue to give it ago and see how I get on.

Have you ever used this BB cream before?
What are your opinions on it?
I'd love to know!

Have a great day!

Happy Halloween!

I
Love
Halloween!

But sadly I have no Halloween party to go to
&
I'm a tad old for trick or treating!

So I decided to put together this dark, vampy look.

Which I sort of love!

I've never been good at selfies!

My eyes are dark and smokey but I used a pearlesant white shade to add a soft glow.
I used brown to create a depth in the outer hollows of my eyes and a black shadow to line my upper and lower lashes and my outer V, gently smoking. I thinly lined my eyes with liquid liner, carrying the liner out rather than into a cat-eye flick.
To finish a slick of mascara to the top and lower lashes and lining my tight line with my liquid liner.

I used a dark red lip liner and dark plumb lipstick on the whole of my lips and a deep red lip gloss to in the inner section of my lips to add a lil something something!

For nails I've been rocking a black & white crackle look that kinda looks like skulls..maybe!

List O' Products:

+ Boujois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation in no.52 Vanilla
+ Natural Collection Cover Up Cream in Fair
+ Maybelline Fit Me Pressed powder in no.125

Mini-Clear-Out

Hiiii All!

Today I decided it would be a good idea to go though a few drawers and my makeup bag and bin some stuff that I don't use or are total rubbish!
I didn't end up with loads of stuff but here is what I did end up with!

Some nail polishes

Miss Sporty Glossy-Tech top coat & Sally Hansen Insta-Dri: Both of these have become incredibly sticky and gloppy with time and are no use anymore, so off to the bin with 'em!

The 3 George polishes on the right:
The pastel purple has sort of curdled and split - not so pretty
The shatter top coat is a load of pants! It doesn't do what it say's just sort of blobs out and makes your nails look a mess
&
The white polish is quite streaky and I recently bought a Barry M white polish that's much better...
So bye bye you three!

Superdrug Dry Shampoo - I have never use a worse product. It doesn't work at all. I gave it 3 try's on 3 separate occasions and nothing! It sprays out as you would imagin then sits in your hair and makes it a bit stiff, if anything it makes your greasy hair worse than it was before! Do not buy this! I recommend Batiste or just plain old talc.

ShockWaves Go Matt Clay: This is bin-ward-bound simply because I don't use it! I bought it when I had my hair cut in to choppy layers, used it twice and decided that I didn't like the sticky stiff feeling it leaves. Better for guy's or girls with short choppy cuts!

Rimmel Eyeshadow: I swear I have had this for years! It might of even been my mums, either way I don't use it and its sorta past its best!

B.Dramatic Bold Liquid Eyeliner: Yeah I've never been a big fan of this, it isn't very dark and frustrates me that I would have to double up the layers except when I do, it wipes off!
So ta-ta!

So that's it! Not a massive clear out, but it does feel good getting rid of things you don't use and simply clog up space!

Try it out for yourself!
The added bonus is that you now have an excuse to replace them with new exciting buys!
