Avon Swatches | Lipstick & Nail Polish

Hey!
As promised here are the proper swatches for the lipstick I brought and the nail polish!

Kiss n' Go lipstick in Intimate

Still loving this is so buttery to put on and moisturising and a pretty cool toned pale mauve/pink colour.

Dazzlers top coat in Rose Golden

This I was disappointed with. It looked completely different in the book.
Print screen from web.

Its pretty enough, I put 3 coats on top of a bronze/brown polish.
As it dried off completely it seemed to shrink my nail colour away from my nail tips, if that makes sense so it look like I had been wearing it a while and the tips had chipped off.
Also it chipped really easy and as all glitter polish, is a bugger to get off.

Thanks!

The Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

Hey beauty lovers!
Today I'm reviewing
Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge £5.99

Front

Back

I've been using this sponge for about over a month now and I'm loving it.
Before I would just use my finger tips or a foundation/flat top brush to apply my foundation but since picking this up I haven't used anything else.

It has a flat wedged side for easy application and blending.

A pointed tip for direct application of concealer

And a smooth round side if you want to apply cream blush with it.

I've found that it blends my foundation in really well with no streaking. The typical way I use this is loading up the flat wedged side with my foundation and pressing and patting it on. Then using sweeping motions I'll blend any extra out.
I love how seamless my makeup looks and how well blended it is.
After use a quick wash in warm soapy water - lots of squeezing and dabbing is needed to extract excess foundation. Then I pop it on top of my double-wide radiator to dry through the day and night.
I have found that just leaving it to dry naturally it isn't fully dry by the morning. And there has been times when I haven't got all the excess product or soap out and its a bit squidgy in the morning.
But over all I highly recommend it.

Hope you've enjoyed!

Flip Through Braid

Hi!
Just a quick hairstyle today!
The flip through faux braid.
Really easy to create and looks really cute :)

Its very simple.
1. Tie hair in to a low side pony
2. Tie another hair elastic a few inches below the first tie, then make a hole and flip your hair through.
3. Repeat this process all the way down.
4. Gently tug on each section to add volume.

New Avon Buys!

Happy Thursday Afternoon ya'll!

A few weeks ago a mentioned I bought some more Avon goodies and was just waiting to receive them, and finally I have!
So this is what I bought:

+ Avon Ideal Flawless Cream to Powder Foundation in Shell £12 - I paid £6 (in book offer)
+ Colour Trend Kiss N' Go Lipstick in Intimate £3.75 - I paid £1.85 (in book offer)
+ Colour Trend Dazzlers Top Coat in Rose Golden £3.50 - I paid £1.50 (in book offer)
+ City Rush Perfume Gift Box Set £12.50 (worth £23.50)

Comes in a big box & inside...

A 150ml Shower Gel, 50ml Perfume, 150ml Body Lotion

I love this fragrance its so fruity and fun and a little sassy!

The tube is wrapped in a magenta coloured plastic wrap.

Underneath is a clean plastic tube

This lipstick is nice and creamy and shows as a pale mauve colour. Really pretty.

This looked more like rose gold in the book, but I think it looks more bronze.
We shall see!

Comes in a black box and is compact stylee

Has a little mirror, as you can see I hadn't taken the plastic off!
And also comes with a little sponge which could be handy if u need to apply on the go.

I'll do a proper review of this later as I've only used it twice but so far I like it!

Sorry for the poor quality of swatchness!
I don't have one for the nail polish so once I've done my nails with the top coat I'll pop that up with a better swatch of the lipstick too!

Hope you've liked!

Maybelline NY Brow Drama Review | Updates

Happy Monday!
Today I will be reviewing Maybelline's Brow Drama sculpting Brow Mascara.

Dark Blond £4.99 for 7.6ml

I'm not big on the packaging it looks really cheap!

The colour's not bad and I think if you had fairer eyebrows than me this wouldn't be a bad colour match.
The spoolie is interesting to work with. The bigger fluffier ball at the tip is good for getting a light amount on to the fluffier inner parts of your eyebrow's [hope that makes sense]. But then you need to use the tighter thinner coils on the mid-ends of your brows, but the fluffy end works just as well.

As for the effect on your brow's, it isn't massive.

Its effect is very subtle and natural looking.
More of a neatening mascara than anything with real substance.
I'd been looking forward to trying this because I've seen some other brow mascara's used in youtube tutorials and they look like they work really well.
I was sadly a bit disappointed with this. I had hoped it might help to lighten my brows after I apply my brow powder but it didn't really do that.
I don't particularly like wearing it with out a powder underneath but it is good if your not in the mood to fill in your browser and just want a hint of colour and tidyness.

Although this wasn't what I hoped it would be I think its a good way for some one who wants to begin filling in their brows but is a little nervous about it, to try out.
The effect is so subtle you won't look too different.
I remember the first time I filled in my brows I was a bit shocked at the difference and a bit unsure, but I'm so glad I do it now.

Time for Updates!

Just a quick update with my oil-cleansing journey. Its now been over 6 weeks and I still like using this method to rid my face of dirt and makeup of an evening.
I'm still using the mix of Jojoba oil and Castor oil.
My oiliness is much better but I think that could have something to do with a new moisturiser I'm using [review to come] and sadly I can't say my skins super clear because I have a small breakout [hormonal acne, yup TOMs visiting]
So I plan to carry on using this method of cleansing and this is the last update that I will do, unless all of a sudden I have perfect skin and I think this is the reason for it!
:P
