Flip Through Braid

Hi!
Just a quick hairstyle today!
The flip through faux braid.
Really easy to create and looks really cute :)

Its very simple.
1. Tie hair in to a low side pony
2. Tie another hair elastic a few inches below the first tie, then make a hole and flip your hair through.
3. Repeat this process all the way down.
4. Gently tug on each section to add volume.

Happy Thursday Afternoon ya'll!

A few weeks ago a mentioned I bought some more Avon goodies and was just waiting to receive them, and finally I have!

+ City Rush Perfume Gift Box Set £12.50 (worth £23.50)

Comes in a big box & inside...

A 150ml Shower Gel, 50ml Perfume, 150ml Body Lotion

I love this fragrance its so fruity and fun and a little sassy!

The tube is wrapped in a magenta coloured plastic wrap.

Underneath is a clean plastic tube

This lipstick is nice and creamy and shows as a pale mauve colour. Really pretty.

This looked more like rose gold in the book, but I think it looks more bronze.
We shall see!

Comes in a black box and is compact stylee

Has a little mirror, as you can see I hadn't taken the plastic off!
And also comes with a little sponge which could be handy if u need to apply on the go.

I'll do a proper review of this later as I've only used it twice but so far I like it!

Sorry for the poor quality of swatchness!
I don't have one for the nail polish so once I've done my nails with the top coat I'll pop that up with a better swatch of the lipstick too!

Hope you've liked!

Maybelline NY Brow Drama Review | Updates

Happy Monday!
Today I will be reviewing Maybelline's Brow Drama sculpting Brow Mascara.

Dark Blond £4.99 for 7.6ml

I'm not big on the packaging it looks really cheap!

The colour's not bad and I think if you had fairer eyebrows than me this wouldn't be a bad colour match.
The spoolie is interesting to work with. The bigger fluffier ball at the tip is good for getting a light amount on to the fluffier inner parts of your eyebrow's [hope that makes sense]. But then you need to use the tighter thinner coils on the mid-ends of your brows, but the fluffy end works just as well.

As for the effect on your brow's, it isn't massive.

Its effect is very subtle and natural looking.
More of a neatening mascara than anything with real substance.
I'd been looking forward to trying this because I've seen some other brow mascara's used in youtube tutorials and they look like they work really well.
I was sadly a bit disappointed with this. I had hoped it might help to lighten my brows after I apply my brow powder but it didn't really do that.
I don't particularly like wearing it with out a powder underneath but it is good if your not in the mood to fill in your browser and just want a hint of colour and tidyness.

Although this wasn't what I hoped it would be I think its a good way for some one who wants to begin filling in their brows but is a little nervous about it, to try out.
The effect is so subtle you won't look too different.
I remember the first time I filled in my brows I was a bit shocked at the difference and a bit unsure, but I'm so glad I do it now.

Time for Updates!

Just a quick update with my oil-cleansing journey. Its now been over 6 weeks and I still like using this method to rid my face of dirt and makeup of an evening.
I'm still using the mix of Jojoba oil and Castor oil.
My oiliness is much better but I think that could have something to do with a new moisturiser I'm using [review to come] and sadly I can't say my skins super clear because I have a small breakout [hormonal acne, yup TOMs visiting]
So I plan to carry on using this method of cleansing and this is the last update that I will do, unless all of a sudden I have perfect skin and I think this is the reason for it!
:P

Happy Halloween!

I
Love
Halloween!

But sadly I have no Halloween party to go to
&
I'm a tad old for trick or treating!

So I decided to put together this dark, vampy look.

Which I sort of love!

I've never been good at selfies!

My eyes are dark and smokey but I used a pearlesant white shade to add a soft glow.
I used brown to create a depth in the outer hollows of my eyes and a black shadow to line my upper and lower lashes and my outer V, gently smoking. I thinly lined my eyes with liquid liner, carrying the liner out rather than into a cat-eye flick.
To finish a slick of mascara to the top and lower lashes and lining my tight line with my liquid liner.

I used a dark red lip liner and dark plumb lipstick on the whole of my lips and a deep red lip gloss to in the inner section of my lips to add a lil something something!

For nails I've been rocking a black & white crackle look that kinda looks like skulls..maybe!

List O' Products:

+ Boujois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation in no.52 Vanilla
+ Natural Collection Cover Up Cream in Fair
+ Maybelline Fit Me Pressed powder in no.125

Avon Mega Effects Mascara Review

Hola Chicka's!

About a week, week and a bit ago I received my first Avon order in a very long time!
My boyfriends, brothers, girlfriend [Phew!] has started selling Avon as an extra income so I thought I would buy a couple of bits to help her out!
I bought a heat protector and this....

This is Avon's Mega Effects Mascara.
I bought it for £7 introductory price, full price it will be £10 for 9ml.

Avon say its:

"The Wonderbrush that's going to change mascara history

Provides panoramic volume and corner to corner coverage for dramatic definition. Flake-proof and sweat-proof."

Comes in a little red & black box...

With an instruction manual...oh yes!

Pull of the cap and what do u have? A lil handle to pull out! [ooo..]

Pull it out and what do you get?! Something a lil different!

The Mega Effects Mascara is different from other mascara's, and I'll tell you for why!
The applicator.

The mascara applicator is made up of little plasticy spines that comb through your lashes as you apply the mascara. The little handle bends to and fro so that you can have it to your preferred angle.
The first few times I used this I found it a little strange, after all its not your regular mascara wand. But I got the hang of it. Normally when I apply mascara I tend to get in bit of a mess on my eyelids unless I really concentrate. But I've found with this I'm not so messy :)

I've found that this mascara holds a curl nicely and my lashes are nice and separated. The brush is good at getting in to all the corners and application to lower lashes is easy too :)

I haven't found any flakiness which is a plus but I can't vouch the sweat-proofness my face only sweats when I work out and I do than without makeup on.

But I'd defo give the Mega Effects Mascara a thumbs up for awesomeness :)

Inside the mascara tube.

To get the mascara out the tube I've found it best to gently wiggle and to put it back in simply slide in.

The tube though thicker than other mascara's feels so tiny in my hand.

I've recently placed another order for some more Avon products so I'll share those when I get them :)

Have a lovely day!

Sheet Mask!

Hi ya'll
Last night was the first time I used a Sheet Mask :O and I just wanted to share my experience :)

And I have to say I kinda liked it, although I did look like Michael Myers from Halloween and it kinda go in the way of my eyes :|

The sheet mask I used didn't shout a brand and was just simply titled Tea Tree & Peppermint.
On the back all it says is 'Specially produced for Xpel Marketing Ltd' and 'Made in Korea'
It claims that its nourishing and revitalising, deep moisturising and should leave my face feeling silky smoothe.

I got this little baby from discountUK man I love that shop!
Cost me 99p and I bought 2.

How to use:
1. Thoroughly wash and dry face
2. Take out and unfold the mask and apply on your face
3. Remove the mask after 15-20 minutes and let the skin absorb the remaining essence by gently patting the skin.
No need to wash face after using the mask!

I had a wee bit o'trouble breaking in to the packaging so I had to lop it open with a pair of scissors and I was surprised at how moist the mask was. To be honest I didn't really know what to expect but the mask is well saturated with ingredients.
The mask its self was cooling on the skin and felt very nice after a long evening at work.
There was a very subtle scent of tea tree, not really enough to notice and I kept in on fro about 20 minutes, could of been longer I was so engrossed in my book!

Scary huh?!

When I took the mask off it was still very moist seemed a shame to put it in the bin, but hey ho!
Once the remaining essence was absorbed in to my skin I just put on a small amount of my night time moisturiser and went to sleep.
I the morning my skin looked great [except a mean mustache spot, god I hate those the worst]
Normally on waking my skins a bit oily but not today!
It felt soft and smoothe and even looked a little luminous!
Now its 4 o'clock in the afternoon and my skin still feels soft but I'm an oil monster ahh!

Maybe he has the same problem?

Have a great day!
